Temple Emanuel Religious School Creating Jewish Lives
At Temple Emanuel’s Religious School we believe that experiencing and “living Judaism” is the best way to learn about Judaism.
Students in grade pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade join us on Sundays from 9 AM – 11:30 AM for an exciting day filled with stories, art, music, and a special service with the Rabbi.
Students in grades 3-7 enjoy a flexible program, wherein families can choose a one day/week (Sundays only) or a two day/week schedule (Sundays and Wednesdays). These students add extra Hebrew learning to their study of Jewish life and culture.
Through projects, experiences, activities students learn ways that our ancient tradition is relevant and important for our lives.
Your child will:
• Engage in an individualized Hebrew program to read and understand Jewish prayers and holidays
• Learn about our customs, traditions and heritage through art, dance, music, drama, and technology
• Participate in innovative project-based classrooms
• Live Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World) by caring for others, giving tzedakah and participating in mitzvah projects
• Experience the richness of the Jewish year as a community
• Celebrate learning at our creative community days
• Pray and learn with our rabbis and educators
• Explore the depth of the Torah at age-appropriate levels
