Welcome to Temple Emanuel’s website. Temple Emanuel is a modern Reform congregation in which people come to mark life’s passages and discover a Jewish way of making sense out of the world.
We celebrate the truth that there is more than one way to be a Jew, that there are many different doorways into a more meaningful Jewish life. Our goal is to be a mezuzah on those doors, encouraging both our members and visitors to embrace the resources of our nurturing intergenerational and multicultural community to enrich their journeys. We have many different kinds of families within our community, and we teach our children through innovative and award winning schools: Temple Emanuel Early Childhood Center, Temple Emanuel Religious School, and Temple Emanuel Academy Day School.
The vision of Temple Emanuel is “Living Judaism.” What is “Living Judaism?” It is a Judaism that is alive and vibrant and innovative and changing. It is also a life journey enriched through worship that moves the soul, through Torah study that challenges the mind, through art and culture that heightens the senses, through a connection with Israel that deepens Jewish peoplehood, and through social justice work that makes a difference in the world.
