Temple Emanuel Facilities

Temple Emanuel is fortunate to possess two buildings that house our expansive facilities. We have several diverse worship spaces, many multipurpose rooms, and a theater with stadium seating.  We can accommodate anywhere from small groups up to 1,150 guests.

CORWIN FAMILY SANCTUARYOur sanctuary was recently restored and transformed by Mark Rios of Rios Clementi Hale Studios, the Award-winning Los Angeles architecture and design firm.  His team created a light-filled transformation of our renowned Sidney Eisenshtat designed building.  Rios preserved the best of Eisenshtat’s original design and returned the 1954 building to its original luster.  We can now accommodate new flexible seating to allow for our innovative prayer services in-the-round, Shabbat B’Yachad and Shabbat Unplugged.  The flexibility also allows for traditional theater-style seating for annual High Holy Day services and B’nai Mitzvahs.

GREER SOCIAL HALLGreer Social Hall is the centerpiece of Temple Emanuel in the heart of Beverly Hills. This large ballroom is easily adapted to suit wedding or B'nai Mitzvah parties, concerts, and any other special events. The Social Hall comes equipped with a kitchen and stage. The room is 4,800 square feet and seats up to 485 people for lectures or concerts, 340 for banquets without a dance floor and 300 with a dance floor.  The rental fee includes tables and chairs, underground parking, a dance floor, maintenance, and security.

BESS P. MALTZ CENTER
This airy atrium has a high ceiling with a lovely skylight, flexible seating, and wonderful lighting. The Bess P. Maltz Center provides an alternative to both the Chapel and the sanctuary as a setting for religious ceremonies. The Bess P. Maltz Center is also available for banquets, daytime and evening lectures as well as other events. It seats up to 570 for lectures and 220 for banquets.

WEINBERG AUDITORIUMThe Weinberg Auditorium is a 262-seat theater, which houses a variety of cultural events throughout the year, including our school and intergenerational plays. This unique performance space is available for outside rentals.

CHAPEL
Our charming chapel is a gemstone of Temple Emanuel. The Chapel seats 100 people and is an intimate and unique room for weddings, B'nai Mitzvah ceremonies, lectures, or meetings. The story of creation is beautifully depicted in the illuminated panels throughout the wall. The acoustics in the chapel are outstanding, making microphones or other amplification unnecessary.
