Volunteer Opportunities
There are so many great ways to get involved in Temple Emanuel. Our committees and boards are filled with dedicated volunteers, who help to make our community the best it can be! Social Justice is another way to get involved, from our annual Big Sunday to our work with One LA. Our Israel Matters program is an ongoing effort to make our Jewish homeland a part of our everyday lives. If you are looking to strengthen the bonds with our community, then you may choose to join one of our Chavurot, or engage in a transformative Temple Emanuel Family Retreat.
We value our volunteers at Temple Emanuel and recognize them with well-deserved honors throughout the year. Two highlights of the year are our Aishet Chayil (Woman of Valor) Luncheon and our Annual Purim Ball honoring congregants who have made a significant impact on our community.

Committees
Temple Emanuel has a number of committees for our members to join. Committees are a great way to meet new people and help your community be at its best. Many of our committees do not require a large time commitment. We want to allow people to get involved in a way which works for each individual.
Our committees include:
Budget and Finance Committee
Membership Committee
Religious Activities Committee
Resource Development Committee
Youth and Education Committee (discuss youth group policy)
Education Committee
and many more
Temple Emanuel Purim Carnival
Temple Emanuel’s Purim Carnival is always a highlight of our year. Members of all ages come together for an amazing community building experience. Our annual Purim Carnival is a huge block party including food, games, rides, and much more. To make this event a success our community steps up in a big way.
