Synaplex
In 2003, Temple Emanuel was fortunate to be chosen, as one of a handful of congregations throughout the country, to start a pilot program of STAR Synagogues called SYNAPLEX. The idea behind SYNAPLEX is that, much like a multi-screen theater, we provide different choices. Each individual has a unique way of approaching his/her own spirituality, and therefore SYNAPLEX provides varied ways to experience Shabbat.
Temple Emanuel’s SYNAPLEX occurs the first Friday night of each month (September-June). We offer several services including our Healing Service, Tot Shabbat Service, and our famous ShabbatUnplugged service. In addition to services, we invite you to join us for one of our warm and welcoming dinners including our Family dinner, and Boomers and Beyond dinner – we even have a wine tasting for young professionals (20’s and 30’s).
SYNAPLEX also features a variety of outstanding educational and artistic programs throughout the year, such as Scholars-in-Residence, Concerts, Musical Shabbat Services, and Film Screenings.
Be sure to catch the excitement and be a part of this extraordinary experience.
